Many times its hard for consumers surfing the internet to know who is in business for the long term and which companies are fly by night operators.  Here is a sneak peek into one of our branch offices, the Jackson Heights office at the Bulova Corporate Center, 75-20 25th Ave, Jackson Heights 11377.  Note, this is just a branch office, it is larger and has more resources and underwriters than many other mortgage bankers have at their main facility. New York Mortgage's main facility is a huge 63,000 square foot processing facility that takes up the entire 7th floor at 1301 6th Ave in Manhattan. Many of NYMC's other branch offices have significant local underwriting capabilities as well. Take a sneek peak below to see all aspects of the loan process and what happens to you application as it is taken and processed..

The Bulova Corporate Center

Centrally located and plenty of parking

Loan Officers

Loan officers are the individuals who meet with you, explain our programs, take your application and stay with you during the loan process to make sure it goes smoothly.

Processing

Once your application is taken it goes to our processing department where processors enter it into the system, order appraisals and title reports, check credit, and send out necessary verifications, such as verifications of employment, bank deposits, etc. depending on the type of loan you are applying for.  Having processors in each branch office helps things run more smoothly.

Underwriting

As the loan is being processed an underwriter begins to look at the loan package to approve it.. Underwriters are the individuals who actually approve or decline your loan.

Closing Department

When a loan is finally approved and all documentation is ready it goes to the closing department.  They perform final checks on the paperwork and coordinate the closing between buyers, sellers, their attorneys, bank attorney and title company.  It helps to have the closing department in house and local so documents do not have to be sent between offices. Overall things get done much quicker.
